SNDP Yogam Ayarkunnam branch works on the teachings of Sree Narayana Guru and believe that spirituality and worldliness are not separate entities. Instead, they both function with same intention. Just like several body parts function together for the perfect functioning of a human body, in order to achieve the ultimate aim of human kind -to have eternal well being , all the spiritual and material systems and structure should work together symbiotically. The ideals and words of Sree Narayana Guru teach people about the dharma which every human being has to obey in order to make his life a successful and meaningful one. His advises do give directions to both a saint and a family man. Therefore, Gurudharma is considered to be the Bhagavad Geeta of modern world.
Our main activities
The SNDP Yogam Ayarkunnam branch comes under SNDP Kottayam Union. Working up to fulfil the vision of Sree Narayana Guru to uplift and unite a socially backward and inferior community in Kerala, SNDP Yogam Ayarkunnam branch has made a historical renovation among Ezhava community in Ayarkunnam. It tries to teach the ideologies of guru among the weaker community in Kerala and give them a new spirit and hope that they too can anticipate a brighter future and living.

Memorable days
Sri Narayana Jayanthi is a state festival of Kerala. It is celebrated on Chathayam day during the Onam season in Chingam month of Malayalam calendar. It marks the birthday of Narayana Guru, a saint and a social reformer of India who fought against the caste system of Hindu religion.
Kerala has an important and commendable tradition of honouring social reformers with public holidays. Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi or the final resting place of Sree Narayana Guru, the samadhi (tomb) of Sree Narayana Guru, also called Maha Samadhi Mandapam
It may be known as Gokulashtami or Sreekrishna Jayanthi in some regions. According to the Hindu calendar, Janmashtami is celebrated on the Ashtami (eighth day) of Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) in the month of Shravana or Bhadra (in the Hindu calendar, there is a leap month once every three years).
